Community helpers are important people whose job is to help others. Everyone who lives in a community can be a community helper. Community helpers can include people from various professions like doctors, soldiers, police officers, teachers, farmer, construction workers. Community helpers play a very important role in keeping the community safe and healthy. They make sure that the community functions efficiently and the people living there have a better lifestyle, free from any worries. Be it a clerk at your local grocery store or the farmer who provides you with fresh organic fruits and vegetables are all community helpers.

On Wednesday, 9 November 2022, the Foundation Centre II organised a festival on the theme Lifelines of our Society. The main objective of the festival was to acknowledge the students about the importance of the community helpers to our society.

The venue of the centre festival was the school quadrangle which was decorated beautifully based on the theme. The program began by lighting the lamp before the idol of Goddess Saraswathi with a prayer song sung by group of students.

The program was highlighted by the theme of lifelines of our society with the different community helpers like the doctor, the policeman, the soldier, the teacher and the farmer. The skits and dances performed by the students emphasized the contribution made by the community helpers. These performances were very entertaining and also gave a message to the students. The program also comprised power-point presentation with video-clippings, skits, dances performed by the students an exhibition and an activity highlighting the importance of life lines of our society and their work for society.

This Centre Festival was a successful one in acknowledging the students with the information about our life lines. It was also a platform for the students to exhibit their skills of communication by taking part in various activities enthusiastically to build confidence in them and to overcome stage fear.
