An animal kept as a pet is considered a companion for entertainment or domestic animal. Pets are known for their great looks, lively nature and loyalty. A pet show was organised to raise awareness about animal lives and to recognise pets as members of the family and friends.

On Thursday 10.11.2022, Nursery to Class IX presented their pets. They were assessed by Dr. Nagraj N.P., the veterinarian in the government hospital at Kappagal. 

At 01:30 p.m. the programme began with the reception of guests. The guest spoke regarding the importance of immunizing the pets and also spoke about Lumpy Skin Disease in cattle. 

Students enthusiastically participated in the pet show. 34 students brought their pets, including dogs, tortoises, fishes and parrots.  The pets were divided into two categories, the first category of pets were dogs and the second category included pets such as fish, tortoises and parrots. 

By posing the necessary questions to the contestants and inspecting the pets, the judge evaluated the pets as per the prior announced evaluation criteria.

The gathering enjoyed the pet show and the amusing antics of the pets which inspired the crowd to have a pet and appreciate it’s companionship.
