Books give us lot of knowledge. “Books open your mind, broaden your
mind, and strengthen you as nothing else can”, is a saying but also the
objective for the “Book Exhibition” organised by Dream World School in the
library under the Saga 7 Wing on Saturday, 11 September 2018, at 9.15 a.m. The program
started with a prayer song and the guest Mr. K. Doddabasappa and our chief Mr.
K. Anil Babu lighted the ceremonial lamp.
The Guest: Mr. K. Doddabasappa is working as Senior Librarian
from 2010 at Vijayanagar Institute of Medical Sciences, Ballari. His speech was
in short length but with a very important line, that is “There is no friend as
loyal as a book” and that library is very important for students and the staff to
improve their knowledge. Without much delay, Mr. K. Doddabasappa and
our chief Mr. K. Anil Babu declared the Book Exhibition open.
The Exhibition:
Book exhibition is a special day for our Students, Staff and the Parents
as it throws a vibrant light on the varieties of books available in the library
through exclusive book displays which comprises of 14,900 books and 900 PDF
files/ E-books introduced for the
first time in our library. It is a day for the readers helping them to know
about the library sources.
The Book Exhibition organised by Saga 7, was open
to the students of Shasvid Kindergarten and Dream World School. The exhibition
was kept open from 11 September 2018 to 15 September 2018 for the Students,
Staff and the Parents.
We believe and hope that the exhibition was indeed
an awareness to quench the thirst of the readers and encourage the new readers to
improve their knowledge by instilling the habit of regular reading. It was a
festive occasion for the book lovers to set their sail through the books
displayed on all the floors of Saga 7.
