Shri Krishna Janmashtami is a festival of Lord Shri Krishna’s birthday. It is celebrated all over the world with great passion by all the devotees of Lord Shri Krishna on every Ashtami of Krishna Paksha in Shravanamasa. According to Hindu religious epics, Shri Krishna is the eighth human incarnation of Lord Vishnu in Dwapara Yuga. He was born in Mathura as the eighth child of Devaki and Vasudeva. His childhood illustrates many adventurous deeds and funny acts. Shri Krishna lived his life on this land to show the path of morality, love and the intellectuality. 

On Wednesday, 06 September 2023, the Foundation Centre I celebrated the centre festival 2 on the theme ‘Birth and Miracles of Shri Krishna’. The main objective of the festival was to acknowledge the students about the miracles and the slew of demons during Shri Krishna’s childhood. 

The celebration began with the most auspicious pooja to the sacred Govu which resembles the abode for all gods and goddesses. Later, the programme on the stage was started by lighting the ceremonial lamp by the teachers. The sub-themes of the theme were the Birth of Shri Krishna, Krishna Vs Bakasura, Fruits turning into Gold, Krishna Vs Aghasura and The meeting of Brahma and Krishna. The programme included anchoring, dances and video-clip watching by the students. 107 students took part in this celebration and all students were dressed up as little Krishnas, Radhas, Gopikas which made the celebration very colourful, cheerful and informative to the students. After the programme, students were given prasadam.  

The Centre Festival 2 on the theme – ‘Birth and Miracles of Shri Krishna’ had carried the joy and the feeling of unity among the students of kindergarten. We hope that the celebration with information has fulfilled the objective of making children aware of the birth and miracles of Shri Krishna.
