An animal kept as a pet is considered a companion for entertainment or a domestic animal. 

Pets are known for their great looks, lively nature, loyalty and can serve as a source of comfort and support. The unconditional love of a pet can do more than keeping your company. Nothing compares to the joy of coming home to a loyal companion. 

A pet show was organised on Thursday 31.08.2023 to raise awareness about animal lives and to recognise pets as members of the family and friends.

Participants from Nursery to Class X displayed their pets and presented a specific skill of their pet, as well as took the opportunity to talk to the public about their animal companion.  

Dr. Nagraj N.P., the veterinarian in the government hospital at Kappagal Road was the Chief Guest and the Judge for the Pet Show Competition. At 01:15 p.m. the programme began with the reception of guest. Students enthusiastically participated in the pet show. 29 students brought their pets, including dogs, tortoises, fishes and birds. The Show was organised in two categories with the first one being dogs and the second one being other than dogs i.e. pets such as fish, tortoises and birds. 

By posing the necessary questions to the contestants and inspecting the pets, the judge evaluated the pets as per the prior announced evaluation criteria.

The gathering enjoyed the pet show and the amusing antics of the pets which inspired the crowd to have a pet and appreciate it’s companionship..
