Virtue is a trait of excellence, including traits that may be moral, social and intellectual. The cultivation and refinement of virtue is held to be the "good of humanity" and thus is valued as an end purpose of life or a foundational principle of being. In human practical ethics, a virtue is a disposition to choose actions that succeed in showing high moral standards: doing what is right and avoiding what is wrong in a given field of endeavour. When someone takes pleasure in doing what is right, even when it is difficult or initially unpleasant, they can establish virtue as a habit. Such a person is said to be virtuous 

On Wednesday, 6 December 2023, the Foundation Centre II organised a festival on the theme Virtues of Life. The main objective of the festival was to acknowledge the students about the importance of different values and how they are helpful to our life and to the society.

  The venue of the centre festival was the school quadrangle which was decorated beautifully based on the theme. The program began by lighting the lamp before the idol of Goddess Saraswathi with a prayer song sung by a group of students.

 The program was highlighted by the theme of Virtues of Life with the different values like responsibility and honesty, respect and kindness, courage and teamwork, and gratitude. The skits and dances performed by the students emphasized the different virtues which the students are lacking these days. Every performance was entertaining with a message to the students. The program also comprised power-point presentation with heart-touching video-clippings, skits, dances performed by the students, an exhibition and an activity highlighting the importance of values and their significance in our daily life. 

This Centre Festival was a successful one in acknowledging the students with the information about our virtues of life. It was also a platform for the students to exhibit their skills of communication by taking part in various activities enthusiastically to build confidence in them and to overcome stage fear.
