A Report on Centre Festival - 4: (WATER)

 Classes - Nursery, L.Kg. and U.Kg.                                                       Date 1 March 2024

A hungry person can stay without eating food, but a person who is thirsty cannot stay without water. Water is essential for our life and there is no life without water on earth. The main source of water is rain and the other sources are groundwater, rivers, lakes, streams, and natural reservoirs. The significance of water is crucial in more than one way and there is no substitute for it. It covers 71% of the earth’s crust and only around 3% of it is suitable for human use. This important element of nature is polluted by the self-centered thinking of the human; therefore, we must save it and use it wisely.

On Friday, 01 March 2024, the Foundation Centre I organised a festival on the theme Water. The main objective of the festival was to enable the children to know about the importance of water in our life.

The programme comprised of two parts – first the stage performance by the students and second the exhibition.

The programme on the stage was started by lighting the ceremonial lamp by the teachers. The sub-themes of the theme were sources of water, uses of water, water pollution and how to save water. The programme included anchoring, dances and watching video-clips by the students. 106 students took part in this celebration which made it joyful, dazzling and informative to the students.

After the stage performance, students were taken to visit the exhibition where the 3d models and pictures were displayed based on the sub-themes.

The Centre Festival on the theme – Water, was a great learning experience for the students to know about the importance of water on this planet, not just for humans but for all living things.
