School Re-Opening Day Celebration of 2024-2025

॥ Shree Vakratunda Mahakaya Suryakoti Samaprabha।

Nirvighnam Kuru Me Deva Sarva-Kaaryeshu Sarvada॥

‘Divine Presence is in Everything’. Believing in this, performing poojas and homas with sacred, sincere and pure mind and heart on the reopening day of the school is our custom. It is customary in our culture to start every academic year with prayer to the Almighty in the hopes of having a fantastic year filled with attaining perfection in the all-round development of every child.

This academic year our school reopened on Thursday, 30 May 2024. To celebrate this unique day, balloons, flowers, and mango leaves were used to decorate the school and greet the pupils. Around 7:15 a.m. priests started chanting the veda mantras and slokas for Ganesha pooja and offered prayers to the Sarvantharyami. In order to obtain the divine blessings that determine everyone's achievement, our chief, Mr. K. Anil Babu, performed the Ganapathi, Saraswathi, Gho (Cow), and Navagraha Shanti poojas with the highest dedication and diligence in the presence of his family, staff and students of classes 9 and 10.

Students in grades 1 to 8 participated in a special pooja dedicated to Ganesha and Saraswati, in order to support their holistic development.  Sacred books, textbooks, musical instruments, sports equipment, and art supplies were positioned in front of the idols of Ganesha and Saraswati and venerated while the Ashtothra Naamavali and Stotra were chanted. Subsequently, the teachers explained the significance of every chant the students had performed.

Later, all the teachers and students of classes 1 to 10 made Pradakshinas around the Ghomaatas (cows). These customs created a calm and happy atmosphere in the classroom, inspiring children to feel holy. The students of classes 8, 9 and 10 chanted Vishnu Sahasranama Stotra, Govinda Naamavali and Hanumaan Chaalisa in the form of prayers to the Divine.

Teachers greeted the students of all classes, who returned after the restorative summer break with aspirations and dreams to flourish once more, and directed them to their new classrooms. Teachers and students engaged well in conversation in the classroom on how much they enjoyed their summer vacation and how they improved their skills in a variety of activities. Teachers inspired the students to devise a plan of action and establish new benchmarks for their academic performance.

The ceremonies came to a conclusion at about 12:45 p.m. Following a delectable meal, the priests blessed all the students and staff with prasadam at the conclusion of the spiritual program.

All the students had a great time and smiled as they carried the wonderful memories of the first day of the school with a smile.
