Aquatic Life
Foundation Centre I Centre Festival 1 Date : 24 July 2024
We live on a blue planet, with oceans and seas covering more than 70 per cent of the Earth’s surface. There are millions of creatures that live in and around the water, like animals, birds, plants and other organisms. At a fundamental level, these creatures affect the nature of the planet, they feed us, regulate our climate, and generate most of the oxygen we breathe. Health to the aquatic life means health to us, we should protect them because they play an important role in our life.
On Wednesday, 24 July 2024, the Foundation Centre I organised a festival on the theme Aquatic Life. The main objective of the festival was to enable the children to know the different creatures that live in and around water.
The programme comprised of two parts – first the stage performance by the students and second the exhibition.
The programme on the stage was started by lighting the ceremonial lamp by the teachers. The sub-themes of the theme were aquatic animals, birds, plants and resources that we get from water. The programme included anchoring, dances and watching video-clips by the students. 78 students took part in this celebration which made it joyful, dazzling and informative to the students.
After the stage performance, students were taken to visit the exhibition where the scenario of ocean life was created, models made with clay and pictures were displayed based on the sub-themes.
The Centre Festival on the theme - Aquatic Life, was a great learning experience for the students to know about the different creatures and how they live in and around water.
