A Report on Centre Festival 1: Managing Waste For Better Future

Waste management is the managing of waste by disposal and recycling of it. Waste management needs proper techniques keeping in mind the environmental situations. For instance, there are various methods and techniques by which the waste is disposed of. Some of them are landfills, recycling, composting, etc. Waste management is intended to reduce the adverse effects of waste on human health, the environment, planetary resources, and aesthetics. The aim of waste management is to reduce the dangerous effects of such waste on the environment and human health.
On Thursday, 11th July 2024, the Foundation Centre II organised a festival on the theme ‘Managing Waste For Better Future’. The main objective of the festival was to acknowledge the students about the importance of managing waste and how it is helpful to our life and to the society.
The venue of the centre festival was the school quadrangle which was decorated beautifully based on the theme. The program began by lighting the lamp before the idol of Goddess Saraswathi and Lord Ganesh with a prayer song sung by a group of students.
The program was highlighted by the theme of “Managing Waste For Better Future” with different sub themes. The skits and dances performed by the students emphasised the topic managing the waste. Every performance was entertaining with a message to the students. The program also comprised power-point presentation with heart-touching video-clippings, skits, dances performed by the students, an exhibition and an activity highlighting the importance of managing waste and their significance in our daily life.
This Centre Festival was a successful one in acknowledging the students with the information about managing waste for better future. It was also a platform for the students to exhibit their skills of communication by taking part in various activities enthusiastically to build confidence in them and to overcome stage fear.
