Classes - Nursery, L.Kg. & U.Kg. 2024–2025
Shri Krishna Janmashtami, an annual hindu festival is the celebration of the birth of God Krishna, the eighth incarnation of God Vishnu. It is celebrated on the eighth day (Ashtami) of the Krishna paksha in the month of Shravana of the lunar hindu calendar. According to the hindu religious epics, Sri Krishna was born around 5,200 years ago in Mathura as the eighth child of Devaki and Vasudeva. Sri Krishna lived on this land to show the path of morality, righteousness, love and the intellectuality of knowledge.
On Saturday, 24 August 2024, the Foundation Centre-I celebrated Sri Krishna Janmashtami on the engaging theme “Favourites of Sri Krishna”. This theme aimed to introduce young minds to the beloved aspects of Sri Krishna’s life and his preferences in a fun and interactive manner.
The celebration began with the most auspicious pooja to the sacred Govu which resembles the abode for all gods and goddesses. Later on, the teachers of kindergarten lit the ceremonial lamp to give a positive start for the celebration. The students were dressed up as characters associated with Krishna’s iconic looks, while others dressed as gopis and radhas. The atmosphere was vibrant, reflecting the festive spirit.
The celebration comprised of anchoring, watching video-clips depicting the theme, dances were performed by both students and teachers. 90 students took part in the programme making it colourful, blissful and an informative one. Children enjoyed the game ‘Dahi Handi’ (Flower Pots) as it introduces to cultural traditions in a fun and engaging way. A small treat was given to the children as Prasadam.
We hope that the celebration of Sri Krishna Janmashtami carried joy and memorable event for all.
