A Report on Centre Festival 3: Seasons
Foundation Centre I (Kindergarten) Date : 08 Nov. 2024
We can observe constant change in our surroundings in the year like flowering, fruiting of trees, plants, changes in the agricultural, industrial, and animal activities. These changes are due to seasons. There are different seasons in India like the spring, the summer, the monsoon, the autumn and the winter. Even the food habits and clothing of humans also depend on seasons. People also take a break from their regular routines in the form of vacations based on seasons.
On Wednesday, 6 November 2024, the Foundation Centre I organised a festival on the theme Seasons. The main objective of the festival was to enable the children to know about the different seasons.
The programme comprised of two parts – first the stage performance by the students and second the exhibition.
The programme on the stage was started by lighting the ceremonial lamp by the teachers. The sub-themes were winter, summer, monsoon, spring and autumn. The programme included anchoring, dances and watching video-clips by the students. 80 students took part in this celebration which made it joyful and informative to the students.
After the stage performance, students were taken to visit the exhibition where the scenario of seasons was displayed through models and pictures based on the sub-themes. They were made to experience the glimpse of each season practically.
The Centre Festival on the theme - Seasons, was a great learning experience for the students to know about the different seasons in India..
