A Report on Centre Festival - 3: (Five Elements)

 Classes - I to IV.                                                                                    Date 30 October 2024

Fire, Water, Earth, Air, and Ether are known as Panchamahabhutas, the elements of life in five forms. They form the building blocks of life and existence on this planet. Each element has its function in the outer world and in our inner body. An imbalance in any of the five elements of life can manifest in a lack of harmony within or outside our system. One needs to know the interplay of these elements to help understand himself. Practices such as Pranayama, Yoga, and Meditation creates balance within the self and peace with the outer world. It also keeps these elements in harmony.

On Wednesday, 30th October 2024, the Foundation Centre II organised a festival on the theme ‘Five Elements’. The main objective of the festival was to acknowledge the students about the importance of five elements and how it is helpful to our life and the society.

The venue of the centre festival was the school quadrangle which was decorated beautifully based on the theme. The program began by lighting the lamp before the idol of Goddess Saraswathi and Lord Ganesh with a prayer song sung by a group of students.

The program was highlighted by the theme of “Five Elements” with different sub themes. The skits and dances performed by the students emphasised the topic five elements. Every performance was entertaining with a message to the students. The program also comprised power-point presentation with the informative video-clippings, skits, dances performed by the students, an exhibition and an activity highlighting the importance of five elements and their significance in our daily life.

This Centre Festival was a successful one in acknowledging the students with the information about importance of five elements and how these elements are related to nature and our body. It was also a platform for the students to exhibit their skills of communication by taking part in various activities enthusiastically to build confidence in them and to overcome stage fear.
