Cleanliness is the state of being clean. It is a good habit which can enhance the quality of life and helps us to stay refreshed and hygienic. It reduces the risk of diseases and ensures a safe space. Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene is an essential part of healthy living. Our responsibility is to keep our room, house, office and surroundings free from dirt.

On Wednesday, 18 December 2024, the Foundation Centre I organised a festival on the theme Swachh Bharat. The main objective of the festival was to enable the children to know about cleanliness.

The programme comprised of two parts – first the stage performance by the students and second the exhibition.

The programme on the stage was started by lighting the ceremonial lamp by the teachers. The sub-themes were self - cleanliness, cleanliness at home, cleanliness in surroundings and cleanliness in public places. The programme included anchoring, dances and watching video-clips by the students. 71 students took part in this celebration.

After the stage performance, students were taken to visit the exhibition where the scenario of Swachh Bharat was displayed through models, pictures and objects based on the sub-themes. They were made to experience the glimpse of Swachh Bharat. All the students took part actively in cleaning the play area giving them an experience of learning while playing

The Centre Festival on the theme – Swachh Bharat, was surely a learning experience for the students to understand the importance of cleaning.
