To: Sanjana Farm, Ballari                              24-Feb-2026


A farm is an area of land used for agricultural purposes to produce food and other crops. It plays an important role in food production including vegetables, fruits and flowers.

To give our L.Kg. class students a practical learning experience, we organized a field trip to Sanjana Farm on Tuesday, 24 February 2026. The farm is spread over about 3.5 acres and is located approximately 5 km from Dream World School.

Our students were excited to visit the farm as they were eager to learn about sapodilla tree and other trees grown there. The farm is owned by Dr. Shashidhar Reddy, the crops and daily activities are managed by the farm labourers.

At the farm, we were explained about the different types of trees and plants grown there. The farm has sapodilla, coconut and mango trees. The students were also delighted to see various farm animals like hens, cows, guinea fowls, dogs and rabbits.

The children enjoyed exploring the farm and learnt about the different plants, trees and their importance in our lives. This practical experience helped them connect what they learn in the classroom with the real world.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to the landlord and the labourers of the Sanjana Farm for their support and co-operation in making our field trip a successful and educational experience.

                                           A Report on Field Trip # 4 (Class - U.Kg.)

To: Seven Hills Supermarket, Ballari                             24-Feb-2024


A supermarket is a self-service store that offers a wide variety of food items, beverages, household products, neatly organized into sections and shelves. The main objective of this field trip was to familiarize the children with a supermarket and help them to understand its importance in daily life.

On Tuesday, 24 February 2026, as a part of our educational programme the children of Class U.Kg. with the teachers and assistant staff visited the ‘Seven Hills supermarket’. It is located on the way by Moka Road, Ballari, approximately 3 km away from Dream World School. 


The children explored the supermarket with great excitement and observed the different items displayed in various sections. They were able to identify several products such as chocolates, nuts, dairy products, preserved foods, plastic and steel utensils, cleaning supplies, bakery items, and other household goods.

As the children moved through the different sections, the teacher explained the purpose and use of various items, encouraged them to identify and name the products.

Through this visit, the children learned that a supermarket provides a wide range of food and household products under one roof, making shopping appropriate and enjoyable.

We sincerely thank the management and staff of Seven Hills Supermarket for their co-operation and support in making this field trip a meaningful and enriching experience.

                                                     A Report on Field Trip # 4 (Class - 1)

To: District Indor Stadium, Ballari                              27-Feb-2026


On Friday, 27 February 2026, the students of Class I visited the Ballari District Stadium along with their respective teachers. The stadium is about 6.1 km away from Dream World School.

A stadium is a large open or enclosed structure used for sports, games and other public events. It usually has a big playground in the centre, surrounded by seating for spectators. Stadiums are used to host various games like cricket, football, athletics and cultural programs. They help to promote physical fitness, teamwork and entertainment. They are the important places for athletes to practice, compete and show their talents infront of the large audience. 

With the objective to know the basic infrastructure of the stadium and to know the real-life experience in the stadium our students visited the Ballari District Stadium as a part of the educational programme.

The Ballari district stadium is a well-maintained sports complex that hosts various athletic events, football matches and other games. The stadium was built in the year 1974 and renovated in the year 2023. The district-level sports are held in this stadium. The Government or the sports authority owns the stadium. The stadium has a large ground, a running track, hockey turf, shot-put sector, badminton court, multi-gym, swimming pool and seating arrangements for spectators. It also included with facilities like training equipments for players. The stadium has 2000 members seating capacity. The district commissioner gives permission to conduct any sports/cultural events in the stadium. The ground is renovated with synthetic material which helps to conduct national level sports to the athletics and trainers and only this stadium has 400 m synthetic surface running track in Ballari. The running track has 8 lines with distance between each line of 1.22 m. A      shot-put sector has radius around 1.25 m. The stadium has different tracks for throwing sports like discus, shot-put and javelin. Athletics have access to high quality synthetic surfaces safe for training and competition in events like jumping and throwing.

The visit helped our students to gain the practical knowledge of basic infrastructure and real-life exposure of the stadium. We thank the Assistant Director of Youth Empowerment Sports Centre for her support in fulfilling our objective of this field trip successfully.

To: BDAA Football Stadium, Ballari.                                                        13-Feb.-2024


     A stadium is a place for outdoor sports, concerts or other events which consists of a field or a stage either partly or completely surrounded by a tiered structure designed to allow spectators to stand or sit and view the event. 

  The students of Class II visited the BDAA Football Stadium on Friday, 13 February along with the teachers to learn and understand about the stadium practically.

Ballari District Athletic Association is Ballari’s one of the oldest football stadium. It is 3 km away from Dream World School. The students went around the stadium with excitement and enjoyed sitting in the stands of the stadium. Our sports staff described the stadium and the dimensions of the football pitch. The stadium includes a central playing field surrounded by seating areas for spectators. In the football stadium, the long boundary line that runs along each side of the football field is called as side line of length 90 – 120 metres and the shorter line is called as end line of length 45 – 90 metres. Each end of the pitch has a goal post of height 3.72 metres and width 7.32 metres. The mark in front of each goal post is named as Penalty Area. The big circle in the middle of the field is named as Centre Circle. The passage that runs from the players’ dressing room to the edge of the pitch is tunnel. The students were also explained about the rules of the sport football. Later, the students visited the gym in the stadium premises and came to know the names, uses and benefits of the equipment used for exercise. 

It was indeed an informative field trip for the students. We thank the management and the staff for their support and cooperation in fulfilling our objective in this field trip..

                                                      A Report on Field Trip # 4 (Class - 3)

To: Sub Post Office, Fort, Ballari,                                                               16 February 2026


 The post office is a government’s organisation responsible for delivering letters and packages. It is a public facility through which people can send letters and packages to friends and institutions.

To learn practically about the Post Office, the students of Class III were taken to the Sub Post Office, Fort on Monday, 16 February 2026. It is approximately 5 km away from Dream World School. 

The main objective of the trip was to make the students understand and learn about the postal communication and different types of postal services, which play an important role in overall status of the mankind and the nation. 

The Sub Post Office in the Fort area is 120 years old and was established by British government in Bharat. Mr. Ravi Kumar the Postal Assistant(PA) explained about the post office and the services it offers. Inside the office our students were shown the post cards, the inland letters, different postage stamps and savings bank passbooks. Mr Ravi Kumar had also practically showed the collection and study about postage stamp called Philately. This post office accepts and delivers inland letters, postcards, parcels, postal stamps, aerogramme, money orders, speed post, bank saving services, insurance like PPF (Public Provident Fund), SSA (Sukanya Samriddhi Account) and SBA (Savings Bank Account), international mail service and many more. He also explained in detail about each and every service offered in their department with great patience.  

 Our students were excited to visit the post office and learn about how the postal department functions. We thank the Head Post Master and the whole management of postal department for their co-operation in making our field trip a successful one.

                                                           A Report on Field Trip # 3 (Class - 4)

To:  Dragon Farm, Yettinabudihal Village, Ballari.                                           13-Feb.-2026


       Farm is an area of land that is devoted primarily to agricultural process with the primary objective of producing food and other crops. It is the basic facility in food production. A crop is a plant that can be grown and harvested extensively for profit or subsistence. Most crops are harvested as food for humans or fodder for livestock. 

The students were excited to visit the dragon farm as it helped them understand how crops are grown. On Friday, 13 February 2026, the students of Class IV along with their class teachers and assistant staff visited Sri Ram Dragon Farm as part of their educational programme. The dragon farm is located near Yettinabudihal Village, Ballari. It is approximately 20 km away from our school. The area of farm land is over 10 acres. 

Mr. Basavanna Gouda is the landlord of the dragon farm. The labourers and teachers explained to the students about the land and the growth of dragon fruit plants on the farm. According to the information given by the labourers, there are more than 1,000 dragon fruit plants on the farm, along with pumpkin and flowering plants.

To water the plants, they use the drip irrigation system in the field. Dragon fruit plants require red or black soil for proper growth. The plant takes about 1–2 years to start yielding fruits, and its lifespan is a minimum of 15 to 20 years.

Dragon fruit helps in reducing diabetes, boosts immunity and is also beneficial for digestive problems. Hence, the demand for these fruits is high and hence, they are cultivated for commercial purposes.

Students were happy to know about the dragon farm and the facts about the farm land. They understood the health benefits of eating the fruits and the importance of plants.

We thank Ms. Priyamani(CHO) helped us to get the permission from the land owner and for their co-operation in making our field trip a successful one.

                                                          A Report on Field Trip # 4 (Class - 5)

To: Venkatadri Cold Storage, Ballari                                      17-Feb.-2026


On Tuesday, 17 February 2026, the students of Class V visited the Venkatadri Cold Storage, located in industrial area, Ballari. The storage is about 10.7 km away from Dream World School.

Cold storage is a special facility used to preserve perishable items like grains, fruits, vegetables, pulses etc. at low temperatures. It plays an important role in agriculture by reducing post-harvest losses for the farmers. Modern cold storage systems use refrigeration technology to maintain a constant temperature. Thus, cold storage ensures food safety and supports the economy. 

With the objective to know about the food preservation and storage in real-life experience, our students visited the Venkatadri Cold Storage as a part of the educational programme.

Mr. Vijay Kumar and his team welcomed us and explained about the food preservation and its storage. Usually, farmers store their stock in the cold storage after the harvesting period. There are two buildings in the premises. It has four staff and 20 workers. Building-1 constructed in the year 2015 whereas building-2 is constructed in the year 2019. Each building has six floors and two cooling chambers. In the two floors of the building-1 the items like jowar, tamarind, tur, bengal gram and coriander seeds are stored and in the next four floors, the dried red chillies are stored. Building-1 has the capacity to store about 1,00,000 bags whereas building-2 can store 1,20,000 bags. The building-1 has two cooling chambers and 12 cold fans. The cold fans work under the mechanism of refrigeration which is controlled by three air compressors whereas in building-2 water cooling method is done by using ammonia. The temperature maintained to preserve the stock is about 50 to 60C. Cold storage facilities help farmers to store their grains especially those who lack adequate storage space. It also protects produce from damage caused by natural calamities and enables farmers to sell their goods later at better market prices. Additionally, the cold storage provides employment to 24 people. 

The visit helped our students to gain the practical knowledge about the cold storage in real-life exposure. To: The Gram Panchayat, Shridhargadde, Ballari.                                      18-Feb.2026


OOn 18th February 2026, the students of VI std along with teachers visited the Gram Panchayat Shridhargadde, Ballari district. It is 8 km away from Dream World School. We left for the place from school at 10:30 a.m.  

With the objective of knowing how the Gram Panchayat works in the local administration we  visited the Gram Panchayat at Shridhargadde.

Mr Jammanna Gowda, the accountant at the gram panchayat gave us the information about the historical background of the Gram Panchayat and its working. 

Gram Panchayat is a basic village - governing institute in Indian villages. Gram panchayat plays an important role in the local administration. In Ballari taluk, there are 27 members in the Gram Panchayat, including the president who is the head of the gram panchayat followed by a vice-president. 

The main function of the gram panchayat is to collect taxes based on properties and solvingthe problems of the village people related to road, water scarcity, sanitation etc. 

Apart from this Gram Panchayat has undertaken many schemes for the development of the village like Fifteenth Scheme for the welfare of the village development, Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme for providing job opportunities for the unemployed people in the village, Swachh Bharat Mission for building toilets as well as for maintaining cleanliness in the village. For the development of village government has constructed government health centers like Community Health Centers (CHC) and Primary Health Center (PHC), Government higher primary schools and aganwadi centers. The required funds for all the developmental program of village is from taxes on houses, markets, sites etc. Government Scheme funds are received through the various departments of the government through zilla panchayat, donations from the community works etc.

With the information provided by the guide Mr. Jammanna Gowda and the other staff of the Panchayat, our students learnt the role and the importance of the Gram Panchayat in the villages. We thank him and the staff for their support and cooperation in fulfilling our objective in this field trip.

                                                 A Report on Field Trip # 4 (Class - 7)

To: Sub Regional Science Centre, Ballari.                                                                              17-Feb.-2026


The visit to the Ballari Sub-Regional Science Centre was organized as part of our school’s educational activities to promote experiential learning. The trip aimed to help students understand scientific concepts in a practical way, stimulate curiosity, and make science enjoyable through hands-on experiences.

On Tuesday, 17 February, the students of Class VII visited the Sub Regional Science centre, near the district stadium as a part of the educational programme. It is 5.7 Km away from Dream World School.

The students were filled with excitement right from the start, and were welcomed by the guides who explained the layout and gave instructions about the exhibits. The children were divided into small groups for better interaction and learning.

Hence, the students explored the indoor science galleries that includes the following:

1. Human Body Section - 3D models and cutaway display showed the functioning of the heart, brain, and other organs.

2. Physics Section - Interactive setups demonstrated electricity circuits, magnet experiments, and principles of simple machines.

3. Outdoor Science Park - The park had working science models like giant levers, pulleys, sound tubes, and periscopes.

The students enjoyed the demonstrations of the topics learnt like working of a simple pendulum, Kaleidoscope, Periscope, and formation of coloured shadows and frozen shadows. The reflection, the relation incident and the reflected ray.

The digital planetarium at the centre is one of its biggest attractions. This planetarium is more than just a theatre — it is a gateway to the cosmos. With its 7.5 meter dome, high-resolution projection, and surround-sound system, it transforms the entire ceiling into a living night sky. The interior is designed to create a dark, theatre-like atmosphere so that the audience can feel as if they are truly out in space. The immersive 360-degree visuals made them feel like they were floating in space.

As the lights dimmed and the dome lit up with stars, there was a soft “wow” from the audience. It was felt like stepping into a spaceship about to take off. Through the planetarium show the students learnt about the sun, planets, moons and their motion.

It was the “best part” of the visit, which gave students a visual memory of the sky, helping them recall facts in their science concepts. It also encouraged them to think beyond earth and imagine possibilities like space travel and life on other planets.

The visit to the Ballari Sub-Regional Science Centre proved to be an enriching educational experience. It brought science to life, making it exciting and relatable. The hands-on approach, visual displays, and real-life demonstrations helped students connect classroom lessons with practical applications. Trips like this not only strengthen academic learning but also inspire young minds to explore the wonders of science.

We thank Ms. Amrutha G. Patil the Curator and her team for their support in fulfilling our objective of the field trip more productively.

                                                           A Report on Field Trip # 4 (Class - 8)

To: Sub Regional Science Centre, Ballari.                                                18-Feb.-2026


Ballari hill is a prominent granite hill situated in the heart of the city of Ballari. It is one of the most famous landmarks of the region and known for its unique rocky appearance. This hill is made of hard granite rock and rises steeply above the surrounding plains. The upper fort of Ballari, gives great historical and strategic importance and it provides a panoramic view of the city.

With the objective to know the revolutions it had witnessed and the real-life experience about the structure of Ballari hill, our students visited the Ballari Fort as a part of the educational programme on Wednesday, 18 February 2026. It is about 6 km away from Dream World School.

Ballari Fort was constructed by the Palegar Chief Hanumappa Nayaka during the reign of Krishnadevaraya of the Vijayanagara Empire, in the year of 1530 CE. The Ballari Fort is carved out of a single massive rock, and hence it is described as monolithic. The fort is divided into two parts: upper fort and lower fort. The upper fort was built by Hanumappa Nayaka and the lower fort was renovated by Hyder Ali in the year 1769 with the help of a French engineer during 18th century. The hill is 1976 feet above the sea level that gave it a strong strategic vantage point for observing and defending the surrounding region. It has steepy slopes on all the sides. The eastern side of the fort is higher and steeper. This upper fort became a strong defensive advantage in the historical times. This hill acts as a natural defensive wall by blocking the way of the enemy armies to attack and the steep rocky surface slopes made it very hard for the enemies to climb and invade. 

Ballari Fort has witnessed several important power struggles in South Indian history due to its strategic hilltop location in present day Karnataka. After the defeat of Vijayanagara at the Battle of Talikota in 1565, the region became unstable and the fort came under the Bijapur Sultanate. In the 17th century forces of the Maratha Empire captured the fort during their expansion into the Deccan. The fort later fell to the Mughal Empire during Emperor Aurangzeb’s southern campaigns. In the 18th century the fort was controlled by the rulers of the Kingdom of Mysore, including Hyder Ali and Tipu Sultan. During the Anglo-Mysore Wars, British forces of the English East India Company captured Ballari Fort in 1799 after the fall of Seringapatnam. Overall the fort was ideal for defense and controlled key trade and military routes in the Deccan.

The visit helped our students to gain the practical knowledge of the structure and real-life exposure of the Ballari hill and the movements witnessed by the monolithic structure. We thank the Department of Archaeological Survey of India, for their care and support in fulfilling our objective of this field trip successfully.
