‘The
School that Learns’
A
Report on Vigilance Awareness week 2018
Theme: ‘Eradicate Corruption-Build a
New India’
Corruption
is the most upsetting hindrance for any country’s growth. This should be rooted
out at the earliest. Unfortunately corruption has become a common aspect of
life. To root out this hindrance from our country each one of us should take
initiative. Anti corruption movement should start from every person and his
family.
In this regard our school took an active
participation in the Vigilance Awareness Week to educate the youth about
eradication of corruption in our country to build a New India.
On 29 October 2018 the students of class
X and the staff of the school took ‘Integrity Pledge’ earnestly. On the same
day there was an orientation by our senior faculty Ms. Parimala C. M. detailed
the students what corruption is, when an individual become corrupted by narrating
simple everyday situations. The orientation helped the students learn the
problems faced by common man due to corruption. It filled spirits in the young
minds to be vigilant about such frauds in order to be identified as a gentleman
in the society and to wide spread our nation’s fame.
On 31 October
2018 the students took part in a debate on the topic ‘Is it possible to
eradicate corruption in India?’ Students participated enthusiastically by
narrating experiences with suitable facts which many people come across. The participants
faced the questions boldly posed by the teachers and their classmates. It was an appealing event in which teachers
and students discovered many ways to eradicate corruption in India.
We sincerely thank the Central Vigilance Commission
for bringing up such awareness programmes to help the young minds to make
ethically strong and build them as a responsible youth of the country.
