CELEBRATION OF INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY - 2022-2023

  Yoga is an invaluable gift of India's ancient tradition. It is an art and science for healthy living. Yoga is essentially a spiritual discipline based on an extremely subtle science which focuses on bringing harmony between mind and body; thought and action; restraint and fulfillment; man and nature; a holistic approach to health and well-being. It uses various postures, exercises, mantras, and meditation that enhances the thoughts and changes the mindset of the person adopting it. It overall makes us more positive, energetic, happy, and effective and increases self-control.


         In order to serve the benefits of yoga to our students and with a view to celebrate the ‘International Yoga Day’ the school had organized a ‘Yoga Training Programme’ in the school campus from Thursday, 9 June 2022 to 21 June 2022.

The Yoga training sessions were conducted by the yoga trainer, Mr. Veeresh K. for the students of classes VI to IX. The training sessions included the yoga techniques of pranayama like Sitali Pranayama, Bhramari Pranayama and Kapalbhati Pranayama; aasanas like Padamasana, Tadasana, Trikonasana Pavana Muktasana etc. and also a comprehensive exercise form of Surya Namaskara.

        On 21 June 2022 between 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m., the 8th International Day of Yoga was celebrated with enough confidence and spirit energized by the yoga training sessions. The programme excited and motivated everyone in spreading awareness and also to set a platform for their future involvement in Yoga for a healthy living.
