    Foundation Centre I                                                                     Centre Festival 1                                                                 Date : 20 July 2022

Nature is an important and integral part of mankind. It is one of the greatest blessings for human life. We are surrounded by nature everywhere like the water we drink, the air we breathe, the sun’s heat we feel, the birds chirping we hear, the moon we gaze at and more, above all, it is rich and vibrant and consists of both living and non-living things.

If nature has the ability to protect us, it is also powerful enough to destroy the entire mankind. Every form of nature, for instance, the plants, animals, rivers, mountains and moon holds equal significance for us. Absence of any one among these is enough to cause a disaster in the functioning of human life. It is essential for mankind to flourish so it is our duty to conserve it for our future generations. We can save the nature by maintaining the cleanliness, saving water, saving plants, saving animals and birds. This leads to the Go Green approach for the survival of mankind.

Go green is an earth-friendly approach to living. It helps us to reduce our impact on the environment in various ways.

On Wednesday, 20 July 2022, the Foundation Centre I organised a festival on the theme Go Green. The main objective of the festival was to acknowledge the students about the importance to save nature through maintaining the cleanliness, saving water, saving plants, saving animals and birds as the survival of mankind without nature is impossible.

The programme comprised of two parts – first the stage performance by the students and second the exhibition.

The programme on the stage was started by lighting the ceremonial lamp by the teachers. The sub-themes of the theme were meaning of go green, steps to be followed to save our mother earth such as cleanliness, saving water, plants, trees, animals and birds. The programme included anchoring, rhymes, dances and watching video-clips by the students. 70 students took part in this celebration which made it very colourful, cheerful and informative to the students.

After the stage performance, students were taken to visit the exhibition where in various steps to keep our environment healthy were exhibited. Students of L.Kg. and U.Kg. were taken out to water the plants in the school campus and clean the play area as an activity related to the theme.

The Centre Festival on the theme – Go Green, was a colourful learning experience for the students to know about the things around them and the ways to save nature for our survival.
